Safety & Care

Wallie uses a lithium polymer (LiPo) battery. LiPo batteries are safe under normal use but require a few basic precautions.

  • USB-C cable included — use it with your own charger brick. Any standard phone charger works. If you need a longer cable, any quality USB-C cable will do.
  • Wallie charges slowly by design. High-wattage fast chargers won’t speed it up.
  • Keep it in a normal indoor environment. Wallie is designed to live on your wall — including walls that get sunlight. The concern is environments that actually get hot: cars in summer, unheated garages, or directly next to a heat source like a radiator. In a conditioned home, any wall works.

Contact us immediately if you notice any of the following:

  • The frame feels unusually warm to the touch
  • The battery is draining significantly faster than normal and the change is sudden
  • The back of the frame looks swollen or deformed

If the battery appears swollen, stop using the frame and do not attempt to charge it. Email us at hello@wallieframe.com and we’ll arrange a replacement.

Wallie is designed for long battery life. If yours eventually needs replacing, reach out and we’ll arrange service.

Do not dispose of Wallie in household waste. Don’t attempt to open or disassemble the frame — contact us and we’ll arrange responsible recycling of the whole unit.
