Welcome to Wallie
Wallie is a wireless photo frame that updates from your phone. The display is e-ink — full color, paper-like, no glow, no glare. Hang it where you’d hang a print, and change what’s on it whenever you like.
What makes it different
Section titled “What makes it different”- Looks like a real photo. Like you printed it and hung it on the wall — not a screen.
- Everyone can add to it. The whole household shares the frame. No one person has to be the curator.
- Months on a single charge. E-ink only uses power when the picture changes. Charge it and forget about it.
- Simple to set up, powerful if you want it. Out of the box in minutes. Advanced options are there when you’re ready.
What’s in the box
Section titled “What’s in the box”- Wallie frame (13.3”)

What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”- A phone with the Wallie app (iOS or Android)

How it works, briefly
Section titled “How it works, briefly”- Pair the frame with your phone over Bluetooth.
- Pick photos in the app. They’re optimized for the e-ink display.
- The frame updates on its own schedule — every few hours, or whenever you want.
That’s it. No subscriptions to view your own photos. No ads.
Two ways to set up from the mobile app
Section titled “Two ways to set up from the mobile app”You pick one of these the first time you connect Wallie.
| Connected (most people) | Offline (Direct Transfer) | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Wallie syncs photos from your phone over your home Wi-Fi. | Photos go directly from your phone to the frame whenever you send them. No internet, no Wallie servers, no cloud. |
| Best for | Day-to-day use at home. | Locations without Wi-Fi, or anyone who prefers to skip the cloud. |
Want to run your own Wallie server at home? Keep your photos on your own network — no cloud required. → Advanced options
Two power modes
Section titled “Two power modes”Both setups follow the schedule you set in the app — active hours (e.g. 7am–11pm) and how often the photo rotates. The two power modes control what happens between scheduled rotations:
| Responsive Mode (default) | Power Saver | |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | 2–3 months per charge | 6 months to a year per charge (depending on settings) |
| Photo updates | On your schedule, plus changes from the app appear within minutes — the frame stays active during wake hours. | On your schedule. Changes from the app appear at the next scheduled rotation, or right away if you press the button on the back. |
| Best for | Everyday use, events, actively adding photos | Set-and-forget, longest battery life |
You can switch between modes any time from the app, and adjust the schedule whenever you like.
→ Getting Started — set it up in under 10 minutes.
